The Netflix Original Series Marvel’s Luke Cage season one was good, but not great. Leading man Mike Colter perform’s fairly well. Mahershala Ali (Cornell Stokes aka Cottonmouth) receives the best acting award for the season. Stokes lived through only seven episodes. The demise causes a serious drop in quality of the entire season. Alfre Woodard’s Black Moriah murdered cousin Cornell for mentioning her childhood trauma. Stokes’ backstory humanized a stereotypical villain.
